Accountability Agreement

In January 2021, the Government published the FE White Paper, entitled Skills for Jobs: Lifelong Learning for Opportunity and Growth. The key objective is better alignment between post 16 education and the skills learners need to secure suitable employment.

As part of this, the College’s Governing Body must undertake a regular review of how well the education or training at Barton Peveril meets the local, regional and national skills needs. As part of this, sixth form colleges are required to publish an Accountability Agreement, which outlines our plans to ensure we meet the skills needs.

At Barton Peveril, we believe in preparing students for university and apprenticeships and employment beyond sixth form. This is not just the ability to study, but also the skills needed to be a successful, productive and purposeful member of local, national and global communities.
