Astronomy & Astrophysics Olympiad Success

Students at Barton Peveril Sixth Form College have once again demonstrated their academic excellence, achieving an impressive set of results in this year’s Astrophysics Olympiad.

Building on the recent growth in entries to the main Physics Olympiad, this year also saw a welcome increase in participation in the Astrophysics Olympiad.

This reflects the success of the Physics extension classes, alongside the introduction of an Astrophysics extension, which have helped inspire more students to challenge themselves beyond the standard curriculum.

The 2025 results show not only higher participation but also a marked improvement in overall performance compared to last year, highlighting another strong success story for the department.
