This year we welcomed new first year students with a lively Freshers Fair at Barton Peveril. This was a fantastic opportunity for students to discover the wide range of clubs, societies, and extracurricular activities on offer. Whether they are interested in academic pursuits, cultural celebration or competitive sports, there’s something for everyone.Students were able to interact with the various ED&I clubs and societies such as:
- The African Caribbean Society
- Asian Society
- Christian Society
- Eastern European Society
- Feminist Society
- GIST
- Muslim Society
- Pride
- Sikh Society
- Ukrainian Society
Assistant Principal, Victoria Radido commented, “The Freshers’ Fair was a huge success. The energy was fantastic, and it was great to see students connecting with groups that represent their diverse interests, while also linking up with key local partners for future opportunities.”
Beyond ED&I, students explored the diverse range of clubs that are on offer at the college. Students networked and signed up for key clubs such as the Architecture Society, Chess Club, F1 Club, and Pokemon TCG Club, to the Student Leadership Group.
Students also received the opportunity to network with local external vendors, exploring volunteering roles and activities, employment opportunities and much more. Prominent stands included Solent Mind, Southampton City Council, Eastleigh BID and Pavillion on the Park.
