Pride

Barton Peveril hosted its annual Pride, celebrating diversity and inclusion amongst its student community.
Students planned and organised the event, which featured games, a glitter and face paint stand, live music, and a Bake Sale raising money for Breakout Youth – a local LGBTQ+ support charity for teenagers in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
“A celebration”
Former St. Anne’s Catholic School pupil Jennifer Curtis praised the event:
“Pride is a celebration of people who classify as different and events like these make people feel that they can express themselves. I am a supporter of this and this is why I am here.”
Bethany Reynolds, who previously attended Brookfield Community School, also commented on the College’s Pride:
“I feel proud that Barton helps its students to express themselves, however they wish, and that everyone gets involved too. The event was a success, putting many smiles on people’s faces and raising money for a great charity.”
