Barton Peveril Sixth Form College have donated a minibus to PEDALL, a New Forest based organisation that provides inclusive cycling to individuals across the region. The College donated the minibus after updating its current fleet of minibuses, which helps its students explore educational and sporting opportunities away from campus.

PEDALL, run by the charity Friends of PEDALL and the New Forest National Park Authority, provides inclusive cycling in and around the New Forest and aims to make cycling available to anyone no matter what challenges they may face.

PEDALL’s services facilitate individuals who do not have access to cycling and its many benefits, due to: age; economic, cultural and social challenges; health issues; mobility issues; physical and intellectual disabilities; special educational needs; and recovery from injury or illness.

“Barton Peveril are a fantastic example of how the local community can help charities”

Donna Neseyif, PEDALL Project Manager, commented on the donation:

“PEDALL is fortunate to have recently secured funding from The Lottery Community Fund to help the PEDALL project run for the next three years. This funding requires match funding, and we are grateful for the support provided by local businesses and the local community to help with this.

“Barton Peveril have been outstanding in the support they have given to the project and a fantastic example of how the local community can help charities such as PEDALL to support the most vulnerable in our society to improve health and wellbeing.

“In the PEDALL 2017-2020 independent evaluation report, one of the main barriers identified to people accessing PEDALL was transport to New Forest locations, this amazing donation of a minibus from Barton Peveril to the PEDALL project will enable us to help people with additional needs access cycling and wellbeing opportunities that they would ordinarily be unable to enjoy.

“We are so thankful to Barton Peveill for their tremendous generosity and kind donation to the PEDALL project.”
