Barton Peveril IT Manager Wins National Award

Barton Peveril Sixth Form College IT Manager, Peter Horner, with the College’s Edufuturists College of the Year Award 2020.

Barton Peveril Sixth Form College IT Manager, Peter Horner, has been named Network Manager of the Year in the Edufuturists Awards 2022.

Horner won the award for his work transforming the College’s IT infrastructure and was integral to the College winning College of the Year in the Edufuturists Awards 2020.

Among his achievements, the Hampshire-based College’s IT Manager Helped the College become recognised as a Google Reference College, is a Google Certified Trainer and Google Certified Innovator, and has been recognised in the EdTech50 national publication.

Speaking on his success, Barton Peveril’s Vice Principal, Mandy Wood, said:

“Peter has been instrumental in the College being nationally recognised for its outstanding use of technology in teaching, learning and assessment. Ever innovative and collaborative, he has helped transform learning both in and out of the classroom.”

Peter Horner also commented on his success:

“I’m delighted to have won the Edufuturists Network Manager of the Year Award and to have my work in digital transformation at Barton Peveril recognised. We’ve made big investments into technology to support teaching and learning. The staff teams are great to work with and there is such a positive culture that everyone has supported our work in exploring new technologies.”
