Barton Peveril Students’ Conservatoire Successes
Barton Peveril’s Performing Arts (Musical Theatre) students have progressed onto a large number of prestigious Conservatoires, around the country. 11 of the course’s students have secured places in competitive Conservatoires, renowned for their limited number of places and large number of applicants, and a further five have progressed onto a range of the country’s Universities.
The students, who studied Performing Arts (Musical Theatre) alongside a combination of other subjects at the College, underwent rigorous audition processes to be selected for their places at the prestigious performing arts institutions.
“Hard work and dedication”
Three of the Barton Peveril students progressed onto Performer’s College, which has a large number of students progress onto leading roles in London’s West End. The Westgate School’s former pupil Olivia Dickenson-Forbes, previous Wildern School pupil Phoebe Hall, and Brookfield Community School alumni Emily Bennett all secured their places in the Essex based college.
Swanmore College’s Teagan King and Chamberlayne College for the Arts’ Abi Lavender both achieved places in the Academy of Contemporary Music, whose alumni include world-famous singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran.
Former Bitterne Park Secondary School pupil Owen Dennis now studies at Italia Conti Academy; Thornden School’s previous student Maddie Matthews has progress onto Trinity Laban; Ines Mazdon-Delas, of The Henry Beaufort School, has moved to Scotland for her play in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland; and former pupil of The Toynbee School, Emmie Rawlings, is attending Emile Dale Academy.
Speaking on her students’ successes, Barton Peveril Director of Performing Arts, Anneka Wass, said:
