Barton Peveril Sixth Form College student Rhea Pardesi has been awarded in the History is in The Making competition, from the Royal Society of Literature.
The Royal Society of Literature (RSL) was originally established in 1820 as an independent programme for the advancement of literature. The programme operates as a voice engaging people in appreciating the comprehensive language of literature, as well as encourages and honours writers. Moreover, the programme supports authors both established and emerging with awards and grants, and manages an outreach programme to inspire the next generation of writers and readers.
Former student of Upper Shirley High School, Rhea Pardesi was informed in a congratulatory letter on her piece, Helen Maria Williams as 2nd place in the 16 – 18 year old category.
In the letter, The RSL’s Director, Molly Rosenberg found Pardesi’s submission as:
“The overall quality of the work entered is very high”
Rhea Pardesi’s successful piece of literature will be celebrated on the RSL’s website, alongside the anthology contributions from their Fellows.
