Barton Peveril Students Perform Katzenmusik in the College’s Rose Theatre

Barton Peveril Sixth Form College students took to the stage for their rendition of Katzenmusik in the College’s Rose Theatre on Thursday 25th November 2021.

Katzenmusik is the latest play by playwright Tom Fowler: a darkly comic story about social inequality and upheaval, told in reverse.

The production took place in the College’s Rose Theatre, which recently underwent a £1.35 million remodelling to better enable students to perform in their numerous College productions. So far this academic year, the Rose Theatre has already played host to Oklahoma!, Alice, and one in a series of Jazz and Soul Nights.

“So proud”

Speaking on the event and his students, Subject Leader for Performing Arts, Steve Wilde, said:

“I was so proud to finally see the students on stage and under the lights. They would normally have performed a play together last year but were obviously unable to. Performing a play as a class is so important in their development and learning and teaches them so many skills. The students worked so hard and surpassed my expectations massively.”
