Barton Peveril Students Perform Alice in the College’s Rose Theatre

Barton Peveril Sixth Form College students recently ventured down the rabbit hole, for their rendition of Alice in the College’s Rose Theatre on Tuesday 30th November 2021.
Alice is a modern take on Lewis Carrol’s classic tale, Alice in Wonderland, and was performed by Barton Peveril students on the Performing Arts (Acting) course to local residents, friends and family.
The production took place in the College’s Rose Theatre, which recently underwent a £1.35 million remodelling to better enable students to perform in their numerous College productions. So far this academic year, the Rose Theatre has already played host to Oklahoma!, Katzenmusik, and one in a series of Jazz and Soul Nights.
“Incredibly proud of what they have achieved”

Speaking on the event, Barton Peveril Teacher of Performing Arts, Rebecca Hoy, said:
“It was amazing to see the students performing on stage to a live audience for the first time. Due to lockdown and restrictions Alice was this class’ first time to perform as a whole class and I am incredibly proud of what they achieved. They eagerly took on the challenge of the characters and the skills needed to produce a whole play, and their hard work paid off with an excellent show.”
