Barton Peveril Sixth Form College students performed an immersive production of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream to an audience of local residents, friends and family on 6th and 7th April 2022 in the College’s Rose Theatre.
Students on the Performing Arts: Acting course guided the audiences around campus whilst performing their ‘90s themed production, ending the high-scale event in the extensively remodelled Rose Theatre.
This is not the first time Barton Peveril students have performed an immersive theatre event; in 2018 students turned campus into a 1950s American high school talent show and in 2019 they recreated Live Aid around the College.
As well as watching the production, audience members could interact with the set and the cast and move around the dynamic stages.
“Incredibly professional”

Speaking on the production, Barton Peveril’s Subject Leader for Performing Arts: Acting, Steven Wilde, said:
“The students were incredibly professional throughout the entire process. Their performances were exceptional and completely surpassed my expectations. The show was an absolute privilege to be a part of and I was immensely proud of each and every one of them.”
