Barton Peveril student Emily Haines-Furse and Charlie Bryan have both been awarded a Reading List Foundation Scholarship.
This award is for students who have flourished at college in the face of challenging circumstances. The Reading List Foundation helps exceptional Year 13 students succeed at university, by paying for their first year of textbooks.
According to a recent Reading List Foundation survey, 79% of previous scholarship winners felt that the award made a big difference to their first year of university, with 99% saying that it made a positive difference.
By taking one of the financial pressures off of students, it allows them to focus on their studies and obtain the grades that they are capable of.
