Barton Peveril Sixth Form College student Maddie Wardle has won the monthly Sixth Form Colleges Association (SFCA) Adobe Design Competition.
This is the second time the First Year student has won the competition, which tasks A Level Graphic Design students with creating a piece of commercial artwork in line with the key theme of the month.
For the two consecutive months the former Wildern School pupil won the awards, the themes were ‘Hometown Heroes’ and ‘Recent Times’ for which the student designed a postcard and a magazine cover, respectively.
The monthly competition is open to every college student in the country. The Barton Peveril designer learned of the competition through her teacher, Barton Peveril Subject Leader of Graphic Design, Sarah Talling.
“Grateful for the opportunity”
Maddie Wardle enters the competition every month to build her portfolio to aid her progression into a Graphic Design career after completing her A Levels. For her efforts, the student received a t-shirt and her work was featured on the national SFCA website.
Speaking on her success, Maddie Wardle said:
“I am grateful for the opportunity to grow my skills and challenge myself.”
