Second Year University of Cambridge Mathematics student and Barton Peveril Sixth Form College alumnus Lewis Croney returned to College last week, assisting this year’s interview candidates for the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. Lewis met with six of the 36 Barton Peveril students, those who have received interviews to study Mathematics or Computer Science based degrees, to provide advice and guidance during mock interviews.
Lewis, who was a pupil at Crestwood Community School before joining Barton Peveril, featured on a Channel 4 documentary earlier this year. Award-winning rapper Professor Green was behind the documentary, Working Class White Men, which followed Lewis’ journey to securing his place at Cambridge whilst studying at Barton Peveril.

Barton Peveril’s Careers Manager Shoonagh Hubble said:
“Here at Barton Peveril we have a fantastic track record supporting students in their successful applications to highly regarded Universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, which is a testament to the hard work of students and staff at College. We welcome alumni back to College to share their experiences with current students, which in turn enhances the positive and supportive academic community we have.”
