Barton Peveril Sixth Form College have launched a new initiative to continue supporting staff wellbeing.

Headed by the College Human Resources (HR) Department, all staff are being given eco-friendly water bottles and offered a series of wellbeing events across the year that will enable them to continue nurturing their mental and physical health.

As well as encouraging staff to drink more water, a key factor in living a healthy lifestyle, the eco-friendly, stainless steel bottles will contribute towards a reduction of single-use plastic.

Alongside receiving their free water bottle, staff are also able to access a range of resources focused on maintaining a physically and emotionally healthy lifestyle. These include weekly Yoga classes, the introduction of healthy smoothies in staff meetings, and a dedicated HR website with information, activities, and access to external wellbeing resources.

“Significant impact on the success of the College”

Speaking on the initiative, Human Resources Officer, Helen Coombe, said:

“We spend so much of our time at work, which is why focusing on our health and wellbeing in the workplace is so important. This is why we have introduced the initiative to open communication and support work-life balance. Staff at Barton Peveril have a significant impact on the success of the College and we want to enhance their environment for them.”
