Dazzling December Showcase: First Year Dance Students Steal the Spotlight

Barton Peveril Sixth Form College First Year Students performed in their annual Dance Showcase, wowing a packed audience. The event took place in the College’s Rose Theatre on December 7th, showcasing the talent and fast progression the students have made in their short time at the College so far.

After just one term of being students at Barton Peveril, fifty-eight First Year A Level Dance students performed in their first showcase to celebrate the work they have completed so far. The show produced some fantastic Akram Khan inspired solos, along with a group number that explored themes as seen in the works of British choreographer Christopher Bruce. Taking place in the Rose Theatre, the performance showcased an impressive lighting and staging set-up organised by Barton Peveril Students.

“We are incredibly proud of the standard of the work performed, showcasing the versatility, technical proficiency and expressive abilities amongst our talented First Year group.”

Lisa Fernandez-Adams, Performing Arts Subject Leader of Musical Theatre
