Inspiring Street Art by Charlie Jewett

Charlie Jewett, a Foundation Art Diploma (FAD) student at Barton Peveril Sixth Form College, proudly presents his final major project, Diversity, an inspiring piece of street art designed to unite communities and foster inclusivity.

Charlie’s artwork reflects his belief that street art can connect people with their surroundings and encourage a strong sense of community. His project aims to highlight the importance of inclusivity and community engagement, values that resonate deeply with Barton Peveril College.

Charlie stated,

When people choose Barton Peveril, they’re drawn in by its diverse community and its strong stance on anti-racism, supported by initiatives like the Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity (EDI) committee.

Charlie also expressed his gratitude and the impact of this experience, adding,

Creating this piece has truly tested my skills as an artist. Thank you to everyone who has made this possible. Motivated by a desire to make a difference to the world and a recent realisation of the transformative power of street art, I’ve come to see street art as my purpose. I’m eager to share this gift with as many people as possible. Rather than art being hidden behind closed doors, I’d like people to stop, look up at it and feel inspired.
