What does it take to stand out from 8000 other applicants and become a paid intern at Radio 1? Former Media student Pete Simmons popped back to share the inside track with current students and Head of Department, Adrian Kelly.
Pete is now working as a team assistant for Radio 1 and Radio 1Xtra on a casual contract while he completes his final year of a Radio degree at Bournemouth University.
