We’re celebrating another year of outstanding results and individual student successes after our class of 2014 achieved a 98.1% A*to E pass rate at A Level.
A* to C grades were netted by 76% of students with 61% of those taking the Extended Project alongside A Levels attaining A*-B.
Top A* grades in at least one subject were secured by 17% of students – a 2% rise on last year’s figure.
The college’s vocational pass rate for courses including Business, Media, Sport, IT, Health & Social Care and Performing Arts remains outstanding at 99.4% with grades equivalent to A*-B at A Level achieved by 84% of these students.
Our flexible approach to subject combinations supports the growing number of young people who are choosing to combine vocational and A-level qualifications in programmes tailored to their individual talents and career aspirations.
Principal, Jonathan Prest, said: “Results day provides a fantastic opportunity for us to celebrate the achievements of more than 1000 teenagers who have made 2014 yet another outstanding year for the college.
“Such strong exam results complete the broader picture of all that combines to make a rounded sixth form education and ensure that students continue to leave us well prepared for higher education, apprenticeships and employment.
“The class of 2014 are a credit to their teachers and to the families and friends whose support has played such an important part in their success.”
