Barton Peveril Sixth Form College student, Samuel James achieves bronze award in the World Championship Shore Angling Competition in Holland.
Sport Fishing in the Netherlands is an association that brings together almost 700,000 affiliated anglers through regional federations and approximately 750 local angling clubs. Moreover, a large part of the Netherlands is situated below sea level, making it one of the most ideal locations for anglers to fish. The Shore Angling competition provides optimal opportunities for individuals to learn more about fish stock management at international and local levels.
Formerly of Cams Hill School, Samuel James speaks on his achievement:
9 year old me would have never thought that fishing would take me so far in life and to represent the country is a lifetime opportunity for me and for anyone that competes in a sport.
Congratulations Sam! We cannot wait to see more of your successes.
