Last Friday, Barton Peveril Sixth Form College celebrated Pride with a vibrant festival that brought the whole college community together. The atmosphere was alive with music, colourful stalls, and activities to show support for our LGBTQIA+ students and staff.
There was something for everyone: from face painting, to arts and crafts, to informative booths with resources.

The highlight of the festival was the performance by the renowned Drag Artist Count Addiction.
“Pride Festival is all about celebrating who you are and feeling accepted for it,” said one student. “It’s great to see the whole college come together and show their support.“
Alix Christopher, ED&I Coordinator added: “This event was all about celebrating our student community and giving students the opportunity to show support and allyship with their peers. The student societies did a fantastic job organising the event which was such a valuable experience for all.”
Joanne Mather, ED&I Co-ordinator also noted: “The event sparked important conversations, raised awareness, and reinforced our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.“
