Three students from Barton Peveril College have achieved selection for the Association of Colleges (AoC) Sport England men’s hockey squad.

Following a highly competitive trial in Worcester, involving over 60 talented athletes from across the country, Former Henry Cort student, Alex Blower and James Clark, formerly of Wildern School, have successfully secured places in the final England AoC team.

Upper Shirley High Alumnus, Seb Clark, has also been recognised for his talent by being named in the highly competitive reserve squad.

Paul Yeates, Subject Leader of Games, commented “The selection of three players from the College, especially when over 60 athletes trialled, is a massive testament to the calibre and dedication within our hockey programme. We are incredibly proud to see them recognised at this national level and know they will be fantastic ambassadors for us.”

The selected students will now represent the AoC as they compete in fixtures against both national and international teams throughout the season. Barton Peveril is incredibly proud of Alex, James, and Seb, and wishes them every success as they take on this exciting challenge.
