The Glyn Library

The Glyn Library provides an extensive variety of resources and facilities to support students during their time at Barton Peveril.

Professionally qualified and experienced staff are here to assist with any enquiries and to help students use the Library and ICT equipment.

  • Digital library service with links to course-related resources
  • Online Library catalogue to search for resources
  • Access to a range of eBooks, including digital course textbooks
  • Subject Resources Sites to help find resources to support all courses
  • Referencing tools and support for acknowledging information sources
  • Contemporary and classic fiction titles, manga and graphic novels
  • A wide selection of DVDs including anime, tv series, documentaries and world cinema films

Journals and newspapers

We stock over 45 journals and magazines as well alongside our plethora of e-journals and e-newspapers

Computing, WiFi and printing

There are over 100 Desktop Computers and Macs available in the Library and WiFi is accessible throughout. Photocopying, printing and scanning facilities can also be found in the building.

Study spaces

Students have access to over 100 individual study spaces and two bookable group study rooms.

Opening hours

Our opening hours during term time are:

  • Monday 10.00am – 6.00pm
  • Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 7.45am – 6.00pm
  • Friday 7.45am – 4.15pm

Opening times vary during the holidays and are advertised in advance. Please contact the Library before making a special journey.
