Former Barton Peveril student, Charlie Jewett, is making a name for himself locally as a signwriter and mural artist. Charlie studied Fine Art and Media Production: Video and Moving Image during his time at Barton Peveril. Following this, he completed the UAL Level 4 Foundation Diploma in Art & Design, also at the college. His work now appears across the Locks Heath, Park Gate and Sarisbury Green areas.
He has recently produced a new village sign for Sarisbury Green, a large-scale school mural for Park Gate Primary School, and commercial work for West Quay.
Since leaving Barton Peveril, Charlie has completed a number of high-profile community artworks including the vibrant mural outside Barton Peveril’s Hampshire Café and Progress Zone.
Charlie’s work continues to brighten local spaces and shows current students just how far a love for art can go. His murals bring colour, character, and a bit of fun to the communities many of our students know well. We look forward to seeing more of Charlie’s artwork in the future.
