Bus Tickets
Academic Year Passes
Academic year passes can be purchased directly from Bluestar.
Bluestar passes are available to purchase as a mobile ticket via the Bluestar mobile app. You will need to sign up for the App using your Barton Peveril email address and then use the appropriate discount code (detailed in the Annual Passes section of the Bluestar website) when purchasing your ticket to access the reduced price. If you have any difficulties accessing or using the Bluestar mobile app you must contact Bluestar directly.
For the 2023-24 academic year the bus pass will cost £680. Payment is to be made in full or in two instalments (£380 on date of purchase and £300 by 1st January 2024) directly to the bus operator.
Other tickets available
Students travelling to college on Bluestar public routes such as Bluestar 2 and Bluestar 5 can also choose from their standard range of fares, including zonal tickets for the Southampton Plus and Network zones, and in some cases these will be a better value option. Details can be found here https://www.bluestarbus.co.uk/period-tickets . However please note that these tickets are only valid on the public route network, and not on the dedicated college routes with route numbers starting with a 6. (Please also note that Nursling, Rownhams and Wellow will be covered by college routes this year, rather than by Bluestar 5.)
