Barton Peveril hosted its annual summer Jazz and Soul Night, a vibrant evening showcasing the diverse musical talents of its students.
In June, the Jazz and Soul Night featured first-year students who demonstrated the impressive skills honed during their ‘Improvisation’ unit. Director of Performing Arts, Bryan Postlethwaite, said, “For many of our First Year Music students, this was their first real step into the world of jazz, and they did so incredibly well. I was blown away by the musicality and confidence they showed, performing with style and professionalism. It’s a huge credit to their exceptional hard work and perseverance.”
From classic jazz standards to soulful contemporary hits, the students delivered an evening of great musicianship.
