Noadswood Secondary School
What subjects do you study?
English Literature, Psychology and Information Technology
What are your plans for when you leave Barton Peveril?
“I am looking to study Psychology and Counselling at University, to hopefully become a counsellor or therapist for children or people suffering with bereavement or other mental health issues. Barton Peveril has given me the opportunity to study exactly what I would like to do with extra help and resources to ground my aims and ambitions.”
What influenced your decision to come to Barton Peveril?
“I actually came to Barton Peveril around 5 or 6 years ago when my brother was looking to go to College here. I was very young but I knew, even from that age, that I wanted to go to Barton Peveril. My brother’s Open Evening introduced me to such an amazing and diverse atmosphere, and then the Open Evening that I attended made me make up my mind in an instant.”
What are you part of, outside of your subjects at Barton Peveril?
“I participate in the Barton Peveril Choir and have been taken part in the concerts held in Romsey Abbey and the Rose Theatre. I have met some amazing people at choir and friends that I will keep for life. It has been such a valuable experience to join the choir and has really given me confidence in myself to sing in front of people. We went to a Singing Workshop hosted by Dominic Ellis-Peckham, and that encouraged my first ever solo that I have performed to a group of many people. I couldn’t thank Barton Peveril enough for giving me this opportunity.”
