What are your places for after Barton Peveril?

“I have been given an offer to study Medicine at Oxford, so I am currently working towards making sure I am as prepared as possible for starting there if I get the grades on results day! The whole process to getting where I am now has been tough and at times quite daunting, but the careers department, as well as the teachers at Barton, have been there every step of the way to help me. Personal statement clinics, subject-specific mentors, mock interviews, etc. If you can think of something that will assist you in getting where you want to be after college, the staff at Barton will work to get it done.”

What do you enjoy about being a Barton Peveril Student?

“For me, the ability to try new things, make new friends, and develop yourself as a person in a supportive environment made my time at Barton a lot more enjoyable. It’s a time for you to get out there and make the most of your time, with anything you need from careers/uni help and student-led academic support groups to a range of sporting opportunities and art software courses for the college computers.”

How best would you sum up your studies at Barton Peveril?

“The constant academic challenge can be difficult to get to grips with, but coming to understand key topics through the theory and fun practicals will never stop being satisfying. Developing the way I manage my studies, working as a team in a lab setting and making the link between physicals in front of me to the theory of how it works will all stay with me into my further studies.”
